NPD Expands Wireless Practice Area

The NPD Group has expanded its Wireless practice to include more in-depth information and analysis, as well as a breadth of consumer data not previously available to the wireless industry. These enhancements provide a thorough view of the wireless marketplace, delivering the most comprehensive coverage of mobile devices, multimedia content and wireless voice and data services available in the industry.

The services offered under the umbrella of NPD’s Wireless practice area present in-depth information and analysis on everything that touches the end user experience. Manufacturers, service providers, media and content producers, distribution channels and financial firms are among the many constituencies already benefiting from this valuable resource for examining and understanding the fast-moving mobile and wireless economy.

Behind this new perspective on the wireless market is a team of research and industry professionals dedicated to serving the wireless market. NPD Vice President of Wireless, Clint Wheelock, leads the group. “NPD Wireless has recruited some of the brightest minds in the industry to provide a breadth and depth of consumer data not previously available to the wireless industry,” he said.

The Wireless team includes:

Research Director for Mobile Content Drew Hull is leading NPD's initiative to bring greater clarity to the burgeoning market for mobile multimedia content, including games, ringtones, digital music, and video services. In addition to designing and launching information products in these areas, Drew also works closely with clients to help them understand the market on a strategic level and plan their next moves.

Research Director for Wireless Services Glen LeBlanc is focused on providing clients with insights and information products related to wireless voice and data services for consumer and business markets. He is also responsible for providing a detailed picture of market trends in specific market segments, carrier experience and satisfaction, and the retail purchasing experience.
