Removing Extra Columns in Solution Folders Reports

By Andrea Klotz, Product Manager

Andrea Klotz

Have you ever wanted to remove the extra columns that appear between measures when you export your reports in Solution Folders?  Does it make sense to have the extra columns some of the time?

Here are tips on how to eliminate the columns permanently or on a report-by-report basis.

To permanently remove the extra columns:

  1. Once you’re in Solution Center, click on My Preferences, located on the top menu next to the npd.com button.
  2. Under the Report Views section, check Remove Advisory Column in Excel, under Export Options.
  3. Click on the Save button at the bottom of the screen.

To remove the extra columns on a report-by-report basis:

  • Run your desired report in Solution Center.
  • Click on the Excel button in the report viewer.
  • Select the desired export format.
  • Check Remove Advisory Column in Excel under the desired export format.
