Walmart Uses NPD Information to Connect with Consumers

In a series of recent television commercials, Walmart uses NPD information to connect with consumers watching their budgets in tough times.

The commercials illustrate how much consumers can save by choosing to shop at Walmart over other options including dining out or specialty coffee.

“This is a great example of how Walmart is going beyond marketing product and is now marketing experiences and occasions,” said Paul Cantrell, NPD global team leader for Walmart.  “We are pleased to be providing Walmart with consumer insights that it can use to partner with its vendors and communicate a common message that’s especially relevant for consumers today.”
